BIOCHEMISTRY WALTZ 1998 University of Wisconsin Biochemistry Building, Madison, WI This terrazzo floor includes 2 atrium lobbies and a central corridor. The pattern, based on the hexagonal organic chemical molecule structure, helps tell the story of biochemistry from protein ribbon diagrams to DNA to RNA to vitamins and other areas of study. Although I produced most of the metal work for the inlaid details, I also taught and worked with scientists, staff and students of the department and other artists to make additional inlay details for this floor.
