Hidden Creek community Center, Hillsboro, OR
Notions of spirit, movement, energy flow, community, individual, nature, and memory come together in this 2-part artwork: a wall piece and a sculpture. Comprised of smaller elements put together to make a whole, the artwork also reflects the landscape and site as well as the users of this new community center. The sculpture is a dynamic force, expressing the collecting of the community and energy to this facility, while the wall expresses quieter notions of gathering and energy “collected” from the sculpture into a more orderly community.
