DESERT TRACERY 2007 Arabian Library, Scottsdale, AZ A library is a network of information and circulation in the metaphorical sense as a network of fibers form the circulatory and survival system for a prickly pear cactus. Greatly enlarging the fiber mesh “pad” to symbolize this network, the artwork uses cut steel panels on the surface of the building, a stainless steel sculpture and glass to create an artwork that symbolizes and creates connections between plant systems and information systems.
