INFLUENCE OF INFLUENTS: THE RAIN DRAIN 1999 North Creek Pump Station, Bothell, WA A sculptural copper drain carries the major runoff from the roofs of this sewer pump station. The building architecture was shaped to maximize the rain flowing through this drain. The rocky pool below and the landscaping concept was also influenced by the rainwater and ground connection. Though this facility does not pump stormwater, an excess of rain does influence the sewer system and its flow/overflow cycles.
