Pellier Park, San Jose CA
Begun in 2019 as a Schematic Design which progressed to a Master Plan and then into construction and reality, Pellier Park is an ode to Louis Pellier and his family who were instrumental in starting the fruit and prune industry in the Santa Clara Valley. The Schematic and Master Plan were developed collaboratively with swa of San Francisco, with the artist as an integral part of the design team. The park was completed in 2023, and can be seen on another page on this website. Artist commissioned for collaborative design by the San Jose Cultural Affairs Public Art where funds were designated for fees only, not for any fabrication of artwork.
